Sir George Villiers (c. 1544 – 4 January 1606) was an English knight and country gentleman. He was a High Sheriff of Leicestershire for the year 1591, and later was briefly a Knight of the Shire , a Member of Parliament representing the county of Leicestershire .

George Villiers, 1st Duke of Buckingham († 1628), son of Sir George Villiers († 1606), married in 1620, against her father's objections, Lady Katherine Manners, later suo jure Baroness de Ros, daughter of the 6th Earl of Rutland.
It is not known whether Villiers was in the House at the time of the Gunpowder Plot, but he had returned to London by the time of his death in January 1606. He was buried in Westminster Abbey. Having left no will, administration was granted to his widow.
