In 1512 Margaret was granted the title of Countess of Salisbury in her own right, restoring her to a title that was previously held in her family. The restoration brought a good income from the Salisbury estates and lands, eventually making Margaret one of the wealthiest peers in England.

Biographie. Relations avec Henri VIII. De par son grand-père paternel, Richard Plantagenêt, elle est héritière de la maison d'York, la principale maison royale encore susceptible de faire de l'ombre à celle des Tudors et de contester ainsi le trône à son représentant, le roi Henri VIII. Margaret et Henri sont cousins.

As a result of her marriage to Richard Pole, she was also known as Margaret Pole.
