The duke is due to carry the Sceptre with Cross to the altar during the Coronation at Westminster Abbey on 6 May.
Richard Scott, 10th Duke of Buccleuch (b. 1954), married Lady Elizabeth Kerr, daughter of the Marquess of Lothian, and has issue two sons and two daughters. Lord John (born 9 August 1957), married Berrin Torolsan, and lives in Istanbul, Turkey.

Richard Walter John Montagu Douglas Scott, 10th Duke of Buccleuch and 12th Duke of Queensberry, KT, KBE, CVO, DL, FSA, FRSE, FRSGS (born 14 February 1954), is a Scottish landholder and peer. He is the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensberry, as well as Chief of Clan Scott. Prior to Duke Richard assuming this role, his father, Duke John, was our patron.
