The Battle of Moscow was a series of two battles, which took place in Moscow, on September 1 and 3, 1612, during the Polish–Muscovite War (1605–18), and Time of Troubles. Forces of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth were commanded by Field Hetman of Lithuania, Jan Karol Chodkiewicz, while the Russians were led by Dmitry Pozharsky.

Se conoce como batalla de Moscú de 1612 1 a una serie de enfrentamientos bélicos, ocurridos entre el 1 y el 3 de septiembre de ese año en el marco general de la Guerra Polaco-Moscovita (1605-1618). Las fuerzas militares enfrentadas en el conflicto, eran la Mancomunidad de Polonia-Lituania, por una parte, y el Zarato Ruso, por la otra.
Minin and Pozharsky entered Moscow in August 1612 when they learned that a 9,000-strong Polish army under hetman Jan Karol Chodkiewicz was on the way to lift the siege. On 1 September, the Battle of Moscow began; Chodkiewicz's forces reached the city, using cavalry attacks in the open and new tactics such as a mobile tabor fort .
