Grady County is a county located in the U.S. state of Oklahoma. As of the 2020 census, the population was 54,795. Its county seat is Chickasha. It was named for Henry W. Grady, an editor of the Atlanta Constitution and southern orator. Grady County is part of the Oklahoma City, OK Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Chickasha / ˈ tʃ ɪ k ə ʃ eɪ / is a city in and the county seat of Grady County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 16,051 at the 2020 census , a 0.1% increase from 2010. [5] The city is named for and strongly connected to Native American heritage, as "Chickasha" ( Chikashsha ) is the Choctaw word for Chickasaw .

Minco is a city in Grady County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,500 at the 2020 census, a 8.1% decrease from 2010. [6] History. Present-day Minco began as a settlement named Silver City on the Chisholm Trail. The community was initially a collection of tents housing Caddo, Wichita, Kiowa, and Comanche tribesmen. [7] .
