Changchun (en chino simplificado, 长春; pinyin, Chángchūn) es una subprovincia y la capital de la provincia de Jilin en la República Popular China. Entre 1932 y 1945 la ciudad fue renombrada Hsinking y se convirtió en la capital del estado títere japonés de Manchukuo.
Between 1932 and 1945, Changchun was renamed Xinjing (Chinese: 新京; pinyin: Xīnjīng; lit. 'new capital') or Hsinking by the Kwantung Army as it became the capital of the Imperial Japanese puppet state of Manchukuo, occupying modern Northeast China.

After the defeat of Japan in 1945, the region, together with the rest of northeastern China, was handed to the communists by the Soviet Union .
