It was created by Hans Jörnlind and Aron Levander , directed by Kjell-Åke Andersson and Lisa Farzaneh, produced by Søren Stærmose, and stars Robert Gustafsson in the lead role of police detective Peter Wendel. The series is based on ideas by Leif G. W. Persson.
