Sajonia (en alemán: Sachsen, pronunciado /ˈzaksn̩/ ⓘ; en alto sorabo: Sakska ), oficialmente llamado Estado Libre de Sajonia (en alemán: Freistaat Sachsen, pronunciado /ˈfʁaɪʃtaːt ˈzaksn̩/ ), es uno de los 16 estados federados de Alemania. Su nombre oficial tiene origen en la República de Weimar .
