His list is honestly more about the legacy each person built up over the history of osu!, which is what makes a player truly great. And WhiteCat just has been on the scene longer than mrekk, while you can argue whoever of those is more skilled, WhiteCat probably achieved more up until now.

However, the terms best and influential are very different. Influence relies on the impact that the player makes such as introducing people to the game.
