The Roosevelt dime is the current dime, or ten-cent piece, of the United States. Struck by the United States Mint continuously since 1946, it displays President Franklin D. Roosevelt on the obverse and was authorized soon after his death in 1945.

The Roosevelt dime was designed by John R. Sinnock to honor President Franklin D. Roosevelt, in part for his work in helping to found the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis (later renamed the March of Dimes), which raised money to aid in polio research and victims of the disease.

First produced in 1946, the Roosevelt Dime was an immediate hit in post-WWII America. Nowadays, the coins are valued due to their silver content, but are collected so long as they are in excellent condition.
