23 de mar. de 2021 · In 1970, Ford sent several "Lawman" Mustangs to Pacific military bases as part of a driving safety campaign. Only two returned, one a Boss 429 that's now restored thanks to owner Bill Goldberg.
20 de may. de 2021 · The supercharged Boss 429 pulled nearly 1,000 horsepower and 800 lb-ft of torque during its 2020 rebuild. The gas tank (and therefore the trunk floor) was removed; radiator and battery now live in the trunk. Fresh Lawman graphics are part of the 2018-’20 restoration, which we’ll cover next month.

The “Lawman” Mustang is the one and only Boss 429 in existence today that holds an incredible story. Assembled for the men and women of the the Armed Forces serving overseas in the 1970's it was part of driving and safety clinics that were held on bases in Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam.

The story of the “Lawman”, and the Lawman Mustang program, actually began in the early 1960’s way before Ford ever got involved. The man who is certainly credited with being the main force behind this program was the successful drag racer Al Eckstrand.
