The Pacific is a 2010 American war drama miniseries produced by HBO, Playtone, and DreamWorks that premiered in the United States on March 14, 2010. The series is a companion piece to the 2001 miniseries Band of Brothers and focuses on the United States Marine Corps 's actions in the Pacific Theater of Operations within the wider Pacific War.
"The Pacific" is Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg's epic 200 million dollar miniseries from the creators of the brilliant 2001 series "Band Of Brothers'. Much like with Band Of Brothers, The Pacific gives us an unflinching look at the horrors of war, not just the physical but the mental horrors these men must face.

The primary sources are two memoirs, With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa, and Helmet For My Pillow, by Sledge and Leckie, respectively.
