Dame Enid Diana Elizabeth Rigg, DBE (20 July 1938 – 10 September 2020) was an English actress.
Dianna Rigg is perhaps most famous for her roles as Bond girl Teresa di Vincenzo in the 1969 George Lazenby James Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service and as Mrs Emma Peel in the cult 1960s TV series The Avengers from 1965–1968. Rigg was also cast as the very wealthy fashion designer, Lady Holiday in the 1981 movie, The Great Muppet Caper.
In Game of Thrones she played the role of Olenna Tyrell. She was announced in the role on July 17, 2012. She first appears in season three and continued to appear in seasons four, five, six, and seven.
Rigg was the first Game of Thrones cast member to be a knight in real life, having been made Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) for services to the arts in 1994.
