With shows and projects led by Department of Exhibitions staff, faculty, and student curators, the School's exhibition spaces are teaching galleries that engage process as a pedagogical model and mode of research. Exhibitions are free and open to the public.
28 de sept. de 2020 · The Art Institute of Chicago has long been home to the largest collection of work by Claude Monet outside of Paris. Beginning this September, that collection will nearly double in size with the opening of a new special exhibit — Monet and Chicago.
Founded in 1879, the Art Institute houses the largest collection of Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art on the planet outside the Louvre. It’s also home to more than 300,000 pieces of art, including some of the world’s most revered masterpieces.
