No matter how many transfer credits you are awarded, you must take a minimum number of credits of courses at the 30000-level or higher in your major at CCNY to obtain an engineering or computer science degree. Students who transfer with an associate’s degree from any college will be required to earn 6 credits from City College’s additional General Education requirements called College Option.
Procedures for admission to City College as a freshman or as a transfer student from another college with advanced standing often differ from one program to another; students are therefore encouraged to visit or call the Office of Admissions at 212-650-6977 with any questions.
