Classiebawn Castle is a country house built for The 3rd Viscount Palmerston (1784–1865) on what was formerly a 4,000-hectare (10,000-acre) estate on the Mullaghmore Peninsula near the village of Cliffoney, County Sligo, in the Republic of Ireland.
Designed in the Victorian-Baronial style by Dublin architect J. Rawson Carrol, its commanding presence is highlighted by a central tower topped with a conical roofed turret, making it an emblematic feature of the Atlantic coastline.

In the background you can see the castle of Lord Mountbatten, the last viceroy of the Indies who was killed nearby by the IRA in 1979. It is private property and therefore cannot be accessed, but the view is really worth it.
