A revolution is a fundamental change in power or organizational structures that take place over a relatively short period of time. Revolutions have occurred throughout human history and vary widely in terms of methods. This list shows the revolutions that changed the world by it's influence.
21 de feb. de 2014 · Since 1996, these non-violent or “color” revolutions, with death tolls in the dozens or hundreds instead of many thousands (or even far more), have become more common than violent ones. What determines whether revolutions that start as protests continue and succeed peacefully, or turn bloody?
Examples are the Industrial Revolution, a major shift of technological, socioeconomic, and cultural conditions; the American war against colonial Britain; the Bolshevik overthrowing of the Russian monarchy to attempt to create a communist society; and the attempt by the Khmer Rouge to start Cambodian history anew.
Multiple rebellions and closely related events have occurred in the United States, beginning from the colonial era up to present day.
