3 de mar. de 2013 · Stanley Kubrick’s 1987 Vietnam War film Full Metal Jacket featured Boots on its soundtrack. In real life, Nancy Sinatra performed for American troops in Vietnam, but not before doing some serious soul searching. An NBC press release dated April 1, 1968 quoted the vivacious singer on this subject.
Nancy Sinatra recalls our USO tour of Vietnam: “In 1967, I joined forces with The Gordian Knot and Jimmy Boyd to go to Vietnam to entertain the troops. We did shows all over Vietnam---large shows (25,000 at Cam Ranh Bay)---and small ones for as few as fifty.”.
