Creation: This tiara was made in 1831 by Rundell, Bridge, & Co. using diamonds removed from jewellery previously belonging to King George III and Queen Charlotte. It was originally created as a necklace and was converted into a tiara for Queen Victoria.

5 de feb. de 2017 · Queen Adelaide’s Fringe was taken off its tiara frame once again when King George VI came to the throne in 1936. It was transformed back into a necklace for his wife, Queen Elizabeth, by Garrard, who added a “concealed snap” to the fringe.

In 1919, the creation of a new fringe tiara took its place, and in 1936, when Queen Elizabeth (Queen Consort to King George VI) received Queen Adelaide’s Fringe Tiara, it was once more changed into a necklace.
