Anime Spoiler. I know i'm late to the party, but i finished Edgerunners last night, and I thought the ending was great. i'm a sucker for bittersweet stories but one thing left a foul taste in my mouth. I think Rebecca's death was the worst handled moment in the entire show. It was unnecessary, unceremonious and played for shock value.

He puts his crew in danger and repaid Rebecca's loyalty and dedication by getting her killed. David's stupidity made it really difficult to suspend disbelief in the second half and by the end I was glad he finally died.
Rebecca (Though I wish she lived, and hated her death) dies in a relatively "Happy" way. She (as far as she knows) has helped David save the day. He really is going to save Lucy, and beat Smasher.
