The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst ( RMAS or RMA Sandhurst ), commonly known simply as Sandhurst, is one of several military academies of the United Kingdom and is the British Army 's initial officer training centre. It is located in the town of Sandhurst, Berkshire, though its ceremonial entrance is in Camberley, Surrey, southwest of London.

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) was formed in 1947. The primary purpose of the establishment was the training of Officer Cadets to become regular commissioned officers in the British Army.

RMAS today. After the Second World War (1939-45), budget cuts saw RMA Woolwich unify with RMC Sandhurst in 1947. This created the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS). The RMAS still provides officer cadet training and acts as the primary source of regular Army officers.
