The King of Rohan, also known as the King (or Lord) of the Mark, was a title of nineteen recorded lords of the land of Rohan. This title would span from Eorl the Young who founded that land in TA 2510 to Elfwine , son of Éomer Éadig who fought in the War of the Ring .
Rohan is a fictional kingdom of Men in J. R. R. Tolkien 's fantasy setting of Middle-earth. Known for its horsemen, the Rohirrim, Rohan provides its ally Gondor with cavalry. Its territory is mainly grassland.
