From 1972 men and women students have resided in the College and at Trinity Hall. The Great War of 1914–18 marks in more than one way the end of an epoch for Trinity College.
Historia. El college fue fundado por Enrique VIII en 1546, a partir de la fusión de dos colleges anteriores: Michaelhouse (fundado por Hervery de Stanton en 1324), y King's Hall (establecido por Eduardo II en 1317 y refundado por Eduardo III en 1337).

The new ‘massification’ of higher education took physical form with the construction of a large Arts and Social Sciences Building on the south side of the campus (opened in 1978).
El Trinity College es un recinto enorme (190.000 metros cuadrados). Aquí se engloban aulas, bibliotecas, residencias de estudiantes, pubs, campos de fútbol… ¡hasta una iglesia! Se creó en 1592 bajo el reinado de la reina Isabel I, destruyendo el monasterio agustino que le precedía.
