莱比锡大学（ 德文 ：Universität Leipzig）位于 德国 东部 萨克森州 的 莱比锡 ，创立于1409年， 德国U15大学联盟 、 乌德勒支网络 、 ARQUS联盟 成员， 欧洲 最古老的大学 之一，莱比锡最大的一所大学，萨克森州第二大的大学。 莱比锡大学是现今德国境内第二古老的大学，仅次于 海德堡大学 （1386年），略高于 罗斯托克大学 （1419年）。 另两所创建曾早于莱比锡大学的大学是 科隆大学 （1388年— 1798年，1919年重建）和 埃尔福特大学 （1392年—1816年，1994年重建）都曾关闭后又重开。 1953年至1991年间，莱比锡大学曾名为“莱比锡 卡尔·马克思 大学”。
