The Philipps University of Marburg (German: Philipps-Universität Marburg) is a public research university located in Marburg, Germany. It was founded in 1527 by Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse , which makes it one of Germany's oldest universities and the oldest still operating Protestant university in the world.
La Universidad de Marburgo, (oficialmente en alemán: Philipps-Universität Marburg) es una universidad de Alemania fundada en 1527 [1] por Felipe I de Hesse (habitualmente llamado el Magnánimo, aunque también se le conoce como el 'arrogante'), lo que la convierte en la primera y más antigua universidad protestante del mundo.
