Coordinates: 70°25′N 107°45′W [1] Victoria Island ( Inuinnaqtun: Kitlineq) [5] [6] is a large island in the Arctic Archipelago that straddles the boundary between Nunavut and the Northwest Territories of Canada. It is the eighth-largest island in the world, and at 217,291 km 2 (83,897 sq mi) 1 in area, it is Canada's second-largest island.
It is about 320 miles (515 km) long and 170–370 miles (270–600 km) wide, with an area of 83,896 square miles (217,291 square km). The terrain rises from a deeply indented coast to about 2,150 feet (655 m) in the northwest.
