Jalisco (/ x ə ˈ l iː s k oʊ /, also / x ɑː-, x ə ˈ l ɪ s k oʊ /, Spanish: ⓘ), officially the Free and Sovereign State of Jalisco (Spanish: Estado Libre y Soberano de Jalisco [esˈtaðo ˈliβɾej soβeˈɾano ðe xaˈlisko]), is one of the 31 states which, along with Mexico City, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico.
