Heaven is a real place where the people of God will live one day. In fact, heaven is where God and the angels live. John 14:1-3 even says that Jesus is in heaven preparing a place for us to live.

The Bible speaks of heaven’s existence—and access to heaven through faith in Jesus Christ—but there are no verses that give us a geographical (or astronomical) location. The short answer to the question of “where is heaven?” is “heaven is where God is.”
Where is heaven? According to Revelation 7:1-4, heaven is clearly beyond the earth and larger than the earth since the angels were standing at the four corners of the earth. So where is heaven? Heaven exists in a realm in which God is present, along with angels, believers, and other creatures apart from the sinful curse of the world.

Others think it may be in the spiritual realm. Yet, the Bible confirms that all people will eventually live in a purified, holy, and sinless New Heavens and New Earth.

The words heaven or heavens in the Bible can refer to three different things: The earth’s atmosphere where birds fly ( Genesis 1:6-8, 20 ). Space, where the planets and stars are ( Genesis 1:1; Psalm 8:3 ). God’s dwelling place where His throne is ( Revelation 4:2 ).
