Abbey Road Studios (formerly EMI Recording Studios) is a music recording studio at 3 Abbey Road, St John's Wood, City of Westminster, London. It was established in November 1931 by the Gramophone Company , a predecessor of British music company EMI , which owned it until Universal Music Group (UMG) took control of part of it in 2013.
The first purpose-built recording studio in the world, Abbey Road has striven to be at the forefront of musical endeavour for more than 80 years, and houses a number of technically advanced recording and mixing facilities. The studios offer a unique blend of digital technology alongside custom built vintage equipment.
What we offer. Our studios portfolio ranges from the legendary spaces of Studios One, Two and Three to our more recent additions The Gatehouse and Front Room, making the magic of Abbey Road more accessible to emerging talent, together with the newly remodelled Penthouse – collectively offering the flexibility for every kind of project.
