A year after López's death, Björk discussed the incident in an interview: "I was very upset that somebody had died. I couldn't sleep for a week. And I'd be lying if I said it didn't scare the fuck out of me. That I could get hurt and, most of all, that my son could get hurt." López subsequently became known in the press as "Björk's stalker".

Hollywood police found his body and the videos four days after his death.
