Designing Women is an American television sitcom created by Linda Bloodworth-Thomason that aired on CBS from September 29, 1986, to May 24, 1993, producing seven seasons and 163 episodes.
After the Mary Tyler Moore Show and The Golden Girls, the Designing Women cast gave the world prime examples of smart, strong, independent women who made it on their own. The series focused on the lives of four self-reliant women who worked together as co-owners of an interior design firm.
