Cattle Empire is a 1958 American Western DeLuxe Color movie in CinemaScope directed by Charles Marquis Warren, starring Joel McCrea and released by 20th Century Fox.
After serving a five year prison sentence for allowing his men to destroy a town in a drunken spree, a trail boss is hired by the same town's leading citizen to drive their cattle to Fort Clemson. Complicating matters, a rival cattle baron also hires the cattle driver to lead his herd.
In the cattle town of Hamilton, the grim-faced populace gathers to drag hated trail boss John Cord to his death. As they start to pull Cord through the streets, however, town patriarch Ralph Hamilton, his wife Janice and brother Douglas arrive, and Ralph orders them to stop.
