  5. Dulwich College is a 2–18 private, day and boarding school for boys in Dulwich, London, England. As a public school, it began as the College of God's Gift, founded in 1619 by Elizabethan actor Edward Alleyn, with the original purpose of educating 12 poor scholars.

  6. Junior School. Academic. Subjects. English. The study of English has always been central to a Dulwich College education and remains at the heart of the Junior School curriculum. Pupils in Years 3 to 6 have 55 minutes of English a day, alongside additional reading and library sessions.

  7. Applicants for whom English is not their first language will be expected to also pass the Colleges English as an Additional Language examination. Interview. Applicants who perform strongly in the entrance examinations are shortlisted for interview which may be conducted in person or online.
