Gregorio XI (en latín: Gregorius PP. XI), de nombre secular Pierre Roger de Beaufort (Rosiers-d'Égletons, c. 1330-Roma, 27 de marzo de 1378) fue el 201 o papa de la Iglesia católica, entre 1370 a 1378. Fue el séptimo y último papa del Papado de Aviñón y, a la fecha, el último pontífice francés.
Pope Gregory XI (Latin: Gregorius, born Pierre Roger de Beaufort; c. 1329 – 27 March 1378) was head of the Catholic Church from 30 December 1370 to his death, in March 1378. He was the seventh and last Avignon pope and the most recent French pope recognized by the modern Catholic Church.
Gregory XI (born 1329, Limoges-Fourche, France—died March 26/27, 1378, Rome, Papal States [Italy]) was the last French pope and the last of the Avignonese popes, when Avignon was the papal seat (1309–77). He reigned from 1370 to 1378. Beaufort was made cardinal in 1348 by his uncle, Pope Clement VI.
