    Miers was the first winner of the show when it relaunched – the show was known asMasterchef Goes Large at the time. Miers is among the best-known winners, as she went on to co-found the popular Mexican restaurant chain Wahaca and wrote several cookbooks.

    Bayless, the 2006 winner has written a book called My Father Could Only Boil Cornflakes and a more recent cookbook called It Isn’t All Greek To Me, featuring plenty of Greek recipes. He also works as a private chef and cookery teacher.

    Wallis, who won in 2007, has worked as Head of Creative Innovation at 2 Sisters Food Group, in partnership with clients such as M&S, Sainsbury’s and Tesco. He also works as a private chef and blogs about food and travels on his site called The Urban Foodie.

    2008 winner Nathan has head chef posts at restaurants including at the St Enodoc Hotel in Cornwall, and Bristol Lido. He has also worked as a private caterer creating tasting menus for special events and for people to enjoy at home.

    Follas opened the Bramble Cafe in Poundbury, Dorchester after winning in 2009. He has also published his books called FISH and Vegetable Perfectionand been a judge at competitions like The Great Taste Awards and The World Cheese Awards.

    Baker has taken on a variety of projects since his 2010 win, including opening a gastropub called The Opened Jolly Gardeners in Earlsfield, London and co-founding Tempus Charcuterie. He has also released a book calledSpice: Layers of Flavour.

    2011 winner Anderson become a regular presenter onJamie Oliver’s Food Tube and Drinks Tube, as well as a frequent guest on the Radio 4 food panel, show The Kitchen Cabinet. He also owns a Japanese restaurant & Cocktail Bar in Brixton called Nanban.

    Since winning the show in 20212, Permalloo has written two cookbooks Sunshine on a Plate and The Sunshine Diet She opened the Lakaz Maman in Southampton that sells Mauritian street food and worked at Michelin Restaurants such as Nahm and Benares, even doing her own pop-up experiences at the latter.

    Colman, the 2013 winner, became Head Chef at The Winchmore pub in London. She has shared her cooking expertise in a book called Winning Recipes: For Every Daywhich she released in 2014.

    Coombes, who won Masterchef in 2014, has released a cookbook called Malaysia: Recipes From a Family Kitchen. She has also runs a Malaysian cookery school and launched a supper club where she designs menus and offers shared dining experiences.
