VI The Lovers Trading Card shows Maggy holding her Yum Heart with a ribbon around her and two hearts on either side of her, representing how VI The Lovers spawns two hearts as well. The Yum Heart also heals you for one heart, tieing in with the theme of health.

It seems like it doesn't add broken hearts when you use the lovers?/magic skin for the lost.
The Lovers? May your heart shatter to pieces. • Spawns a random item from the current room's item pool, and turns 1 Red Heart, 2 Hearts, or 1 Coin Heart into a Broken Heart. • May kill Isaac on use, though has no downside for The Lost/Tainted Lost.
