  3. 24 de ago. de 2019 · The “narrow gate” is that gate through which the humble enter. Pride and self-sufficiency lead us to attempt to make our own path to Heaven. But this path is never the correct one. Entering the “narrow gate” also means that we listen to God. He, as the divine Shepherd, is always calling to us in a gentle way.

  4. By narrow, Jesus means exclusive. He claimed to be the one way to know God. Many choose to reject a teaching that says there is only one way to know God and therefore miss this narrow gate. Does this mean salvation is difficult or hard to obtain?

  5. Narrow is the Gate. —Matthew 7:13-14. The parable of the two gates pictures the people of Earth walking on two roads. One road is broad and many walk that way. The other road is narrow and few find the gate to it. These two roads don't lead to the same place (Matthew 7:13-14). We are fond of dividing the world into two.

However, the gate to heaven is “narrow” in the sense of having a particular requirement for entrance—faith in Jesus Christ. Salvation is found only in the Person of Jesus Christ; He is the only way (John 14:6).
