Lloyd married Catharine Dallas Dixon Boyd, on June 6, 1959. They divorced in 1971. He married actress Kay Tornborg in 1974, divorcing her circa 1987. Lloyd's third marriage, to Carol Ann Vanek, had lasted more than two years when they were in the process of divorce in July 1991.

Christopher Allen Lloyd (Stamford, Connecticut; 22 de octubre de 1938) es un actor estadounidense. Ha interpretado a Doc Emmett Brown en la trilogía de Back to the Future ( 1985 , 1989 y 1990 ), a Fester Addams en The Addams Family (1991) y Addams Family Values (1993), y al Juez Doom en ¿Quién engañó a Roger Rabbit?
His maternal grandfather was businessman Lewis Henry Lapham (1858-1934), co-founder of Texaco Oil Company. Lloyd is a distant descendant of indentured servant John Howland (c. 1592-1673), one of the passengers of the ship Mayflower and signers of the Mayflower Compact.
His character was an aging hippie, son of an affluent Boston family , and former student of Harvard University. Ignatowski was one of the sitcom's most colorful characters and Lloyd won two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.
