6 de may. de 2019 · Friends Forever (aka Venner for altid) is a Danish coming of age film about a shy straight teen who befriends a brash gay bully at his new school. The catch? It was released in 1987. The treatment of the gay characters is remarkably progressive. Unfortunately, the treatment of women is not.
Synopsis. Teenager Kristian moves to a new neighborhood. He makes friends with two very different boys in the new school: Henrik, an independent boy, and Patrick, the leader of a gang. Later on, Kristian is startled when he finds Patrick is gay and having an affair with the captain of a soccer team.

An interesting movie about self-discovery and friendship. I had originally been mislead about Kristians character since a lot of summaries make him out to be gay or questioning. His actions speak strongly to the contrary.
In this coming-of-age tale, shy 16-year-old Kristian struggles to adapt to a new school. He soon befriends polar opposites — androgynous nonconformist Henrik and bullying thug Patrick — and makes a startling discovery about Patrick’s sexuality.
