It is the third (and final live-action) installment in the Night at the Museum film series, and a sequel to Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (2009). The film stars Ben Stiller in the lead role, Robin Williams, Owen Wilson, Steve Coogan, Ricky Gervais, Dan Stevens, Rami Malek, Rebel Wilson, and Ben Kingsley.
Una noche en el museo 3 se divide en dos líneas cronológicas, la primera de ellas es en Egipto, en el año de 1938, cuando un grupo de arqueólogos excavan una tumba, donde se piensa existe un artefacto de sumo valor. En la expedición, un joven tiene un accidente y cae en la profundidad del agujero.
