Robert Longo (born January 7, 1953) is an American artist, filmmaker, photographer and musician. Longo became first well known in the 1980s for his Men in the Cities drawing and print series, which depict sharply dressed men and women writhing in contorted emotion. He lives in New York and East Hampton.

Biografía. Robert Longo nació en 1953 en Brooklyn. El escultor Leonda Finke le imparte sus primeras lecciones de arte hasta que obtiene una beca para estudiar historia del arte y restauración en la Academia de Bellas Artes de Florencia. En 1973 regresa a Nueva York y se licencia en Bellas Artes por el State University Collage de Buffalo.
