Sean Justin Penn ( Santa Mónica, California; 17 de agosto de 1960), conocido como Sean Penn, es un actor, activista, guionista, escritor, director de cine, productor de cine y político estadounidense. Ha sido galardonado, entre otros, con dos premios Óscar por su interpretación en las películas Mystic River (2003) y Milk (2008).
Penn made his feature film debut in the drama Taps (1981), before taking roles in Fast Times at Ridgemont High (1982), Bad Boys (1983), and At Close Range (1986). He later won the Academy Award for Best Actor twice for his respective roles as a grieving father and Harvey Milk in Mystic River (2003) and Milk (2008).
