Jessica Miriam Reeves or Jesse Reeves was a witch and later Vampire who is part of Maharet's Great Family. Marguerite Moreau portrays her in the 2002 film, Queen of the Damned. Jesse was born to Miriam Reeves, a seventeen-year-old girl who was raped by an older unidentified male.
There, Akasha is defeated when Mekare unexpectedly arrives and causes Akasha to be decapitated by a falling pane of broken glass. Mekare then consumes Akasha's heart and brain, taking the sacred core of Amel into herself, becoming the new Queen of the Damned, with Maharet acting as the Queen Regent.

Talamasca. Jesse Reeves was orphaned at birth, her mother Miriam dying in a car accident. Her aunt, Maharet, takes her in and arranges for her to be brought up by distant family that act as surrogate parents. She has a tight bond to Maharet, and both of them form a relationship over letters.
While making her way back home with a pregnant Maharet, Mekare curses the king and queen secretly with Amel. Eventually Amel inflicts such torment on Akasha and Enkil that they demand advice and help from the two witches.

In the book, it's her "Aunt" Maharet (actually her many-times great grandmother-turned-vampire). In the movie, it's Lestat. This was obviously meant to reinforce the bond between the characters, which was never there in the book.
Jesse Reeves, a member of the secret Talamasca and descendant of Maharet, is mortally injured at the concert and is taken to Maharet's Sonoma compound where Maharet makes a her a vampire. They are joined by vampires who survived Akasha's onslaught.
