International Klein Blue (IKB; en español también es común la denominación Azul Klein) es una tonalidad profunda de azul concebida y registrada por el artista francés Yves Klein (1928-1962).
International Klein Blue (IKB) is a deep blue hue first mixed by the French artist Yves Klein. IKB's visual impact comes from its heavy reliance on ultramarine , as well as Klein's often thick and textured application of paint to canvas .
Klein famously declared the blue sky to be his first artwork and from there continued finding radical new ways to represent the infinite and immaterial in his works. One such strategy was monochrome abstraction—the use of one color over an entire canvas.
