Yasuto Akashi skipped school the day the games began, after having a fight with his best friend. While his classmates competed in the games at school, Akashi and other students who skipped school must compete in a separate set of games in order to survive. This series takes place at the same time as part one.

What surprised me with this manga is that you never know who will die. The author does a somewhat “annoying” job of introducing characters which we think will serve in the long run only to die few pages later on. So the surprising factor is always there.

Kamisama no Iutoori (神さまの言うとおり, Like God Says) is a manga written by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and drawn by Fujimura Akeji. The series is complete and has five volumes. Now the mangaka are working on Kamisama no Iutoori Ni (part two).
Summary: High school student Yasuto Akashi's day begins like any other, but a fight with his best friend—Senichi Aoyama—causes him to skip school. Akashi realizes that he is in the wrong, and so he immediately returns to school.
