The process of blow moulding consists of forming a hollow object by literally blowing a thermoplastic hollow cylinder called parison or preform, in the shape of a mould cavity. The parison is dropped between two female open-mould halves, which are shaped to the desired product.
Blow Molding (IBM) is generally a process to produce small medical and single-serve bottles. The industry uses it to produce large quantities of hollow glass and plastic objects by injection molding a polymer onto a core pin.
