The Queer Eye star posted a slideshow of photos with his mom, Mary Winters. If the pictures alone aren't proof of their close relationship, the caption sure is.
Jonathan Van Ness was born March 28, 1987, to parents Mary Winters and Jonathan Lyle Van Ness, and raised in Quincy, Illinois. [1] [5] He said he comes "from a family of journalists", being the sixth generation of his family-owned newspaper.

His mother is a fifth-generation member of the Oakley family which has controlled the broadcast and newspaper conglomerate Quincy Media since the 1890s.
