Cain Marko, better known as Juggernaut, is a long time enemy and sometimes ally of the X-Men. As a child, Cain was regularly abused by his alcoholic father. His stepbrother, Charles Xavier, on the other hand was treated much better while also exceeding him in studies and sports.

Due to his close association with mutants like his step-brother Charles Xavier, the X-Men, Excalibur, Black Tom Cassidy and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Cain Marko is often considered a mutant himself on Earth-616,[1] and is in fact also sometimes truly a mutant in some realities.[2][3] This is possibly also due to lack of research from the authors.
