21 de may. de 2023 · Both one-to-one and one-on-one are correct and generally interchangeable. Personally, I always say one-to-one. It's the phrase I grew up with and the use of 'to' seems logical. In recent years, one-on-one seems to have become more common.

One-on-one is far more likely to be seen when describing confrontation - a potential fight, or the interaction between footballers on opposing sides during a match. In training or teaching it would be surprising to see one-on-one used.
