The website is updated for the fictional holiday Homewarming, the show's version of Christmas, with a fittingly holiday themed variant of the home page. The pages now have .png images scattered that correlates to a letter. When the letters are arranged in the correct order they spell out awayfrompryingeyes, leading to a new website.
The mysterious commands from the last update were finally answered and followed by who seems to be Wally himself.
•"Write Hello.": Wally writes with his respective red crayon the word "HELLO" below the command. Moving the cursor above it reveals the text "Hello".
•"Write "OK."": Wally arranges the different stickers and banners of his friends in the page to form "OK", quotation marks included, like if it was a collage. Inside the O in OK, Wally makes a doodle of a smiley face, and moving the cursor on top of the doodle reveals the text "I did not write it. I did something else. I know who these neighbors are. Do you like them too?". Around the page and mostly below the "OK", the rest of the banners and GIFs are duplicated and sticked around in a chaotic fashion. If you zoom out of the site, you can see that Wally also formed a house made of stickers around the right eye hidden in the website and a pixel art of Home and Wally.
•"Reverse this image of Sally.": The image of Sally is flipped so the back of the scene is seen instead, revealing a drawing of Sally behind the curtain. The name of this new image is titled "Ididnotunderstandyou Does this help you_.png", and moving the cursor above the image shows the text "I did not understand you. Does this help you?" as well.
•"Move Barnaby.": In the "MYSTERY AUDIO" section, the "Barnaby" name is moved outside the borders of the page and turned upside down, and can only be found by zooming out of the site. Wally also makes a doodle of Barnaby above it, and moving the cursor there shows the text "Do you like Barnaby here?".
•"Turn The Playfellow Exhibition upside down.": All the time the "The Playfellow Exhibition" is writen in the page, these are found upside down. Wally also makes a doodle of a Christmas tree adorned with ornaments and what appears to be a Homewarming ham. Moving the cursor above it reveals the text "I did not know what to do. I think I am correct. Is it Homewarming where you are? Happy Homewarming."
Several images around the website of the characters dressed in their Halloween costumes returned to their original appearance. However, this is not the only change made in the website, and several commands or instructions have appeared in random pages. As of now it is unknown what they mean.
•In the main page, under the "Website Updates!" section: "Write Hello."
•In the Stickers page, next to the "Neighbors!" title: "Write "OK.""
•In the Sally page, above Sally's image: "Reverse this image of Sally."
•In the Transcripts page, next to the "MYSTERY AUDIO" title: "Move Barnaby."
•In The Playfellow Exhibition page, above the "The Playfellow Exhibition" title: "Turn The Playfellow Exhibition upside down."
Video 00 (Julie, Frank, Barnaby, Eddie, Sally)
Like the dialogue videos in the previous update, this video is accessible by clicking a Halloween themed bug that appears in the Transcripts page, below the "Happy Haunting to Boo and Yours!" storybook record. Here, Julie, Frank, Barnaby, Eddie, and Sally talk with each other in what seems to be a Halloween party. This video shows a table set with licorice allsorts and candy apples. In the audio, the neighbors discuss the Halloween festivities. As their voice begin to overlap with one another, the video begins to distort and turn dark, and an apple in the top left corner of the screen begins to shake. There is a brief close up of one of the treats on the table before the camera turns to its original position. The apple stops shaking and a bite mark appears on it. The video returns to normal, and Barnaby approaches the video (at this point implied to be from Wally's point of view), to check on the apple Wally was supposed to be guarding. Barnaby accuses Frank of taking a bite of the apple, comforts Wally, and asks him what he wants to eat. At this point, the audio pitches downward and distorts, and the visual glitches. The video ends.
Happy Haunting to Boo and Yours!
In a part of the "Happy Haunting to Boo and Yours!" audio found in the Merchandise page, Sally tells a scary story to the others, but no transcript exists for this part because her words could not be heard clearly by the Welcome Home Restoration Project team. The WHRP asks us, the listeners, to try and decipher what she says:
Dialogue Videos
The 7/22 Update came with video files of dialogue between different characters, accessed by clicking on brightly colored bugs hidden throughout the website. They appear to be from the perspective of Wally, and end when his name is spoken, with the voice speaking his name distorting much deeper than the speaking voice of the character. There are 14 of these files in total. Each one contains a transcript that can be read by highlighting the space below the video.
Wally Audios
The second half of this update concerns audios of Wally scattered through the website, accessible by clicking gifs of images being drawn in crayon over different parts of the website. These drawings are not the work of the WHRP, as discussed in their News page, and are likely the work of Wally. The titles of each of these files create two sentences. The sentence reads: "I will help you understand, neighbor. I will find a way soon." Each site contains an audio file and a gif of a spinning record. The spinning record in the "Neighbor" link glitches in place. Each audio file has a transcript in highlightable text below it. •"Welcome Home". Found by clicking on the Home doodle on the main page. •"You're the Most". Found by clicking on the blue flower doodle on the Wally page. •Wally notices you can hear him. Found by clicking on the yellow tulip doodle on the What's Welcome Home page. •Wally will speak to you even if you can't see him. Found by clicking on the smiling heart doodle on the You page. •Wally asks about your house. Found by clicking on the house doodle on the Exhibition page. •Home speaks in Morse Code. Found by clicking on the red spiral doodle on the So Below page. (.... . .-.. .-.. ---) translates to "Hello". •Wally teaches you how to draw eyes. Found by clicking on the star doodle being made by Wally in the Stickers page. •Wally asks about your eye color. Found by clicking on the red and blue tulips doodles being made by Wally in the What's Welcome Home page. •You have looked into each other's eyes many times. Found by clicking on the Hello speech bubble doodle on the Guestbook page. •Wally cannot see despite you drawing his eyes many times. Found by clicking on the doodle of three hearts on the About Us page. •Wally asks you to let him in. Found by clicking on the telephone doodle on the ywxoev page. •"LET ME IN." Found by clicking on the doodle of five white stars on the 404 Error page.
In this update, another puzzle is added. Several letters are placed significantly higher or lower than their line in scripts throughout the website, and they can be used to unlock secret pages. There are also pieces of hidden or obscured text, discovered by highlighting a page, clicking a specific word, or through other means.
The Welcome Home website launches. It has 4 main pages: Town Map with Character Sheets for each Neighbor that appear when you click on their house, a working guestbook, and two overview pages, one in-universe version that explains the premise of the show and its disappearance, and one summarizing Clown's project.
There were 3 secrets available when the site launched : 1. Clicking on the “you” in the introduction paragraph above the map takes you to a page titled “You.”. This page appears as a blank title board, where the phrase "Wally is your best friend" slowly populates. After the 7/22/23 update, a doodle of a heart appears, and clicking it leads to the "you-1" audio.
2. Clicking just beneath Wally’s house on the map takes the visitor to a page titled “So Below”. This page contains an image of Wally with his back to the viewer, reaching a hand up to one of Home's eyes, which shakes as a gif. After the 7/22/23 update, a doodle of a red spiral appears below, and clicking it leads to the "neighbor" audio.
3. When accessing the site on mobile, Home does not appear, and a void is visible where it usually sits.
